2008 marked the second BUSWORLD organised by HKF Trade Fairs and was received with great interest by journalists from around the globe. . The BUSWORLD title is a world brand and it was fitting that HKF Trade Fairs, respected for organising world standard quality trade fairs was supported by BUSWORLD KORTRIJK management, the Swiss based International Road Transport Union (IRU) and the Turkish Bus Federation (TOFED).

The organisers of BUSWORLD TURKEY 2008, HKF Trade Fairs, managed to bring together for this major event the manufacturers of buses, midi buses, mini buses and vehicles for the tourism industry; spare parts, accessories and servicing equipment suppliers along with fuel and lubricant manufacturers, IT, insurance and banking service providers; in short, every aspect of the bus industry under one roof

The opening address was made by the General Manager of HKF Trade Fairs Mr. Bekir Çakici. He was followed at the microphone by the honorary president of Busworld International Mr. Luc Glorieux, the chairman of the board of Busworld International Mr. Mark Vanden Bossche, the general manager of the land transport department of the transport ministry Mr. Talat Aydin and the president of the Turkish Bus Federation Mr. Mustafa Yildirim.

The events were brought to a conclusion with an evening reception hosted by HKF Trade Fairs.
