THE INDUSTRY’S PROFESSIONALS CAME TOGETHER AT BUSWORLD TURKEY 2012 |
The opening cocktail of BUSWORLD TURKEY 2012, organized by HKF Trade Fairs in cooperation with BUSWORLD INTERNATIONAL was held at Yesilyurt Sports Club. The best stand design awards which were selected by invited journalists on the Press Day were given at the cocktail.
Journalists judged the stands by three criteria, simplicity, functionality and visuality which are the base elements of any design concept. 47 foreign media members from 25 countries and 30 Turksh media members selected Otocar’s and Cumming’s stands as the best stand designs.
BUSWORLD INTERNATIONAL announced the Mr. and Mrs. Busworld. Sami İşmen (Mercedes- Benz) and Serap Tanyeri (OTC/Oghab)was selected.

Another ceremony was held at WOW HOTEL. BUSWORLD TURKEY’s supporter TOFED gave The Awards for Road Passenger Transportation fort he first time in TurkeyTOFED President Mehmet Erdoğan said in the gala dinner “BUSWORLD TURKEY is very important for us as the meeting place of the international manufacturers, suppliers and developers and also for Turkey’s bus sector which serves for transportation of 200 million people in a year. We are the internal dynamic of the Turkey’s bus sector to make it the production base of the world.” |

BUSWORLD TURKEY 2012, International Trade Fair for Bus Industry and Accessories, organised between dates of 19th – 21th April 2012 for the fourth time by HKF Trade Fairs at the Istanbul Expo Center.
BUSWORLD TURKEY 2012 official opening was attended by Yaşar ASİLER, Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Department Head; Hamza DEMİRDELEN, Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communations, Istanbul Area Director; Mr. Bekir ÇAKICI, General Manager of HKF Trade Fairs; Mr. Luc GLORIEUX, Founder of BUSWORLD; Mr. Burak TARIM, Mercedes-Benz Turk Bus Marketing & Sales Senior Manager; Mr. Kudret ÖNEN, President of OSD and Mr. Mehmet ERDOĞAN, President of TOFED.
This biennial event is opening its doors for the fourth time. Since 2008, BUSWORLD TURKEY has the right to carry the prestigious UFI Approved Event certificate, given by UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
BUSWORLD TURKEY 2012 featured 197 participants of which 141 were local and 56 overseas came from 20 different countries. There were 11,866 professional visitors of whom 1,352 came from overseas along with 47 members of the foreign press and media.
The fair is organizing by HKF Trade Fairs in cooperation with BUSWORLD INTERNATIONAL and with the support of TOFED, the Turkish Bus Operators Federation. BUSWORLD TURKEY is the second biggest bus trade fair with its exhibition area, exhibitor and visitor numbers after BUSWORLD KORTRIJK.
