SETCOM was incorporated in Istanbul on February 11, 2005. Our Company started to operate in Mobile Satellite Technologies and became the first company in this field in Turkey.

With its young and dynamic team and a strong network of dealers and technical service, SETCOM aims at growing with powerful manufacturers and operators in road and sea transportation without any concession on product quality, product safety and customer satisfaction principles.

Its range of products includes bus satellite antennas, marine satellite antennas and V-SAT antennas which enable 2-way communication.

The Company has so far sold mobile antennas to bus enterprises mainly MERCEDES BENZ,  MAN TÜRKİYE A.Ş, TEMSA, ISUZU factories,  METRO TURİZM, ULUSOY, VARAN, KAMİL KOÇ, PAMUKKALE, NİLÜFER TURİZM etc. It exports its products to European and Middle Eastern countries in addition to domestic market.

The Company is certified to ISO 9001:2008.

We interviewed with SETCOM’s boss about the satellite antenna industry

Abdullah Yazıcı: “We will always be the top company in the Mobile Satellite antenna industry”

SETCOM has been serving to the satellite system industry for years as one of the strongest companies. We interviewed with Abdullah Yazıcı, the managing director of SETCOM, Turkey’s first mobile satellite company, about the services they provide and the industry.

Question – For how long has SETCOM been serving to the industry?
Abdullah Yazıcı – SETCOM was incorporated in Istanbul, in February 2005. The company, mainly involved in Mobile Satellite Technologies, is the first company established in this field, in Turkey.
The company has sold more than 4,500 mobile antennas to vehicle manufacturers including Mercedes Benz Türk A.Ş., Man Türkiye A.Ş., Temsa, and Isuzu, and coach operators mainly including Metro Turizm, Ulusoy, Varan, Kamil Koç, Pamukkale, and Nilüfer Turizm.

Question – What do SETCOM products feature?
Abdullah Yazıcı – Seamless video streaming services and communication technology provided to the travel industry by SETCOM using the world’s well-known brand names are upgraded day by day.

Additionally, thanks to the standard mechanism, the maintenance of our antenna systems, featuring easy set-up and upgradeability with SD cards, is carried out easily.

Question – Do you provide after sales services for the products purchased from your company?
Abdullah Yazıcı – Our professional technical service stations available especially around the coach stations in 14 provinces, in Turkey offer ‘absolute’ solutions to our customers who have technical difficulties.

Question – Are users satisfied with viewing broadcasts?
Abdullah Yazıcı – Thanks God, our customers have always been pleased with the antennas we sell. We instantly turn complaints, which are, rare into satisfaction. I can say that the ratio of the users satisfied with our antennas is quite high. 
We have always brought and keep bringing innovations in antenna business, in Turkey.  We always have a satisfactory product for any type of road or marine vehicles.

Question – Your company’s central office is in Esenler Coach Station, Istanbul. Is being there more productive in terms of coach operators?
Abdullah Yazıcı – Of course! It takes only few minutes for us to get to our customers when they need us. Certainly, our quick service is highly effective on our rapid growth. We still have the same energy that we had on our first day in the business. We shall maintain our high position we have acquired in the sector.

Question – Do you have any innovative lines among the products that provide seamless transmission?
Abdullah Yazıcı – Yes. We have a very aesthetic looking new line offered to our customers. It is called ‘SETCOM Slim Anten’.

Question – What makes it different from others?
Abdullah Yazıcı – Primarily, it has an aesthetic design, and it is only 16 cm long. Its reduced height that makes it almost invisible on road vehicles including coaches and VIP vehicles, and various color options are highly appreciated. I believe it will explode the market in a short time.

Question – Does SETCOM offer any services other than satellite antennas?
Abdullah Yazıcı – We provide other services included in the service range of the same sector. For example, we are the Turkish representative of Hanover Displays, the famous British brand name renown worldwide. We sell destination boards used on coaches.
We are also the Turkish representative of Hidrel, the world’s famous brand name from Spain. Hidrel manufactures lift systems for coaches. We are the sales partner for automatic handicap lifts and ramps designed for coaches.
